According to lore, 4-year-old Marina once turned down the role of princess in the school play, choosing instead to play the “more interesting” witch. She has continued to portray quirky and clever women ever since. After performing in and choreographing several theater and dance works in New York City, she now resides in Los Angeles. You may have seen her improvising around town, touting everything from cars to potato chips on TV commercials (in both English and Spanish), sewing toys from recycled fabrics as a hobby, making comedic web content, and co-starring on an episode of HBO’s Silicon Valley.
