MARINA LIBEL

Marina is a performance maker, artist, and scholar originally from Porto Alegre, Brazil. Her
collaboratively created dance theater works explore relations among the body, language, and
the spaces both inhabit. Her choreographies of movement and text have been performed at
Williamsburg Arts neXus, Dance New Amsterdam, Galapagos Art Space, Brooklyn Arts Exchange,
and Movement Research’s Open Performance. As an actor, dancer, and collaborator, she has performed
at La MaMa, The Chocolate Factory, HERE Arts Center, The Flea, Dixon Place, Judson Memorial Church,
Danspace Project, Merce Cunningham Studio, The Tank, P.S. 122, and The Public Theater. She holds
a BA in Theater&Dance and Mathematics from Amherst College and is currently pursuing an MA at NYU’s
Gallatin School of Individualized Study, with a concentration in Performance Studies.

REBECCA KETCHUM

Rebecca has lived across the street from this school for 6 years and has never been inside until working on this project; she is delighted to finally be working in her neighborhood with the fun and talented Ben and Marina! Rebecca has taught dance and performance in Chicago, Thailand, Maine, and the Bronx. Since settling in NYC, she's been performing with Racoco Productions and Movementpants Dance. BEN VERSHBOW

Ben is a theater maker by night, creative technologist by day. As a director, he most recently created BARTLEBY, a chamber ritual exploring Herman Melville's famous story of Wall Street, with Group Theory (co-founder), and William Santos' I AM WHAT I AM NOT at the Youth Onstage! Community Performance School. As an actor, Ben has performed all over New York with companies including Immediate Medium, Performance Lab 115, Quality Meats, Reggie Watts/Tommy Smith, Gold No Trade, Les Freres Corbusier and Babel Theater Project. Ben is also Associate Artistic Director of IRT, a lab space for independent theater, where he curates the 3B Development Series. He spends his days at The New York Public Library managing NYPL Labs, an experimental unit developing new ideas and tools for digital research. Previously, he worked at the Institute for the Future of the Book, a Brooklyn-based think tank.
